Ok, as mentioned earlier, in addition to the two short exhibitions we will have in Tokyo there will also be a visual/musical event at each venue. For the venue in Harajuku, VACANT, there will be FOUNDLAND, the first in a recurring (monthly maybe?) series of events organized/produced by flau and NO IDEA.

This event is going to be pretty darn great. A lot of amazing musicians and we will be doing some kind of live projected artwork along with each musical set.

イベントの名前はFOUNDLAND（主催： flau／NO IDEA）。 VACANTでこれから始まる新しい音楽イベントの第一回にビジュアルで参加させていただきます！

Just to remind folks, we are touring three Kyushu locations before heading back up to Honshu to kick off the main tour in mid-August. We are very excited for this opportunity - two of the locations are in movie theaters even!

VACANT & STONE

I meant to write on this MUCH earlier... but our MoonHare Exhibition does not wrap up completely when we are done at Gallery Blue Ballen next Friday (8/6).

We will be showing briefly at two very nice locations in Tokyo in September!

First is at VACANT in Harajuku, a lovely gallery, zine, event space and vegan cafe! We will show there from August 31st to September 5th with an amazing music event on the 4th where we will be doing live artwork (more on this tomorrow)!

The next starts soon after on September 7th and continues for the week until the 12th at STONE in Kichijoji a beautiful cafe/bar and gallery space. On our final day there as well will be another musical event where we will be performing Storytellers with Takeo Toyama!

But more on that later as well.

湯布院Gallery Blue Ballenの展示「MoonHare Exhibition」は8/6（金）まで続きます。在廊中はTwitterでも一言書き込んだりしています。ぜひ遊びにいらしてくださいね。

さてさてこの展示、実はここで終わらないんです。東京で、素敵な２つの場所で展示する機会を頂いて、８月の終わりから９月の中旬まで展示、そしてイベントもやります！

最初の場所は原宿のVACANTです！

２階建ての建物の中に、インディペンデントのジンの展示やビーガンのカフェ・イベント会場などがある人気のスペースです。

期間は8/31（火）〜9/5（日）の一週間です。

そして9/4（土）には、同会場２階のイベントスペースでとても豪華なミュージシャンの方達出演の音楽イベントに、ビジュアル担当で参加します！（詳細はまた後日！）

次の場所は吉祥寺のキチム内にあるSTONEギャラリーです！

手作りの感覚あふれる、なんだか違う国に来たようなギャラリー＆食堂＆喫茶店が同居しているスペースです。

ここでは9/7（火）〜9/12（日）の、ここも一週間。この二カ所合計で２週間の展示です。

この展示の最終日、12日にNYで開催した上映＆音楽の出し物「Storytellers」を、なんとトウヤマタケオさんと！！

このイベントは２部構成で、第一部では国内のツアー「Oneiric Caravan」を一緒に回るSheeprint、そして小鳥美術館さん達が演奏してくれます。

日が近づいてきたらまたここでお知らせしますね。

夏の終わり／秋の始まりは東京で何か起こりそうな予感です…！

Did we mention this previously? After our exhibition at Gallery Blue Ballen we are touring Japan! And with the wonderful musicians of Sheeprint!

We are calling it "Oneiric Caravan", mixing our Storytellers performance of storytelling and animation with the live music of Sheeprint and other guests to create an engaging and dreamy experience.

NYで発表したStorytellersの日本バージョンの上演、そしてそれぞれの場所で豪華な共演者の方々が出てくださいます。

MoonHare, Yufuin

Two weeks in to our trip to Japan and some things are finally under way. Our MoonHare exhibition at Blue Ballen Gallery in Yufuin started last Friday and our screening and talk at MultiCulti in Oita took place on Sunday to a wonderfully responsive crowd.

There isn't a great deal to be said at this point but things have been amazing here and people have been very supportive. There is a future for our art in Beppu, it seems, and we look forward to see what happens here next. Below are some photos of our exhibition and screening but there are many more on our flickr account.

日本に到着してから２週間がたとうとしています。あまりにも濃い２週間…もう何ヶ月もいるような気分です。

湯布院Blue Ballenギャラリーでの個展「MoonHare」が23日にスタートしました。

そして25日の夜、大分市MultiCulti での上映＆トークイベントもたくさんのお客さんに来てもらいました。各作品の前後に説明などを入れる形で楽しくお話しさせてもらいました。来てくださった皆さん、質問をくださった皆さん、ほんとにどうもありがとうございましたー！

たくさんの人に会い、お話をして、今までマサチューセッツの森に潜ってた頃とは真逆の生活です！

そして今回はギャラリーのオーナー裏さんを始め、多くの人のOvertureに対するサポートも今までとは比べ物にならない位で本当にありがたい気持ちです。私たちと別府との関係も、これからどういう風になっていくのか楽しみです。

The portraits on the wall of Dreamers, researchers at the MoonHare Society exploring the workings of the MoonHare. Again, we'll get into the details of this story soon.

ドリーマーズと呼ばれる、夢を見る人たちの肖像画シリーズです。彼らはこの展示のテーマであるウサギ、ムーンヘアを研究する人たちです。このお話に着いてもまたここで紹介するつもりです。

Rockaku Minshuku/民宿 Rockaku

We're way over our heads in what's to come over the next few months, but since we're getting into all this new stuff we thought it might be interesting to keep an occasional log of what we're up to.

Three days into our 2.5 month trip to Japan and we are already loving our new wayward lifestyle. For our first week our good friend and amazingly talented copywriter and cook, Rockaku, is putting us up.

Nearly every meal he puts together something delicious for us and brings us interesting perspectives on our work. He also helped us enormously by crafting the introductory text for our exhibitions in Tokyo coming up in September (found here).

We've also taken to running around the Imperial Palace in the mornings. It's a bit of dirty jog there, but the location itself is a safe and beautiful place to get sweaty.

Mostly though, we've been meeting with folks for our upcoming tour and exhibitions and trying to wrap up all the different projects that beg our time.

But more on all of this soon!

13日に日本に到着して今日で３日目。めまぐるしい日々を送っています。

今回の日本滞在、今までも日本に来るときはOVTRジャパンツアー！なんて言ってたのが、現実になりそうです。

その事についてはまた後日詳しく書きます。

２ヶ月半に及ぶ滞在の最初の一週間、私達に寝る場所と作業部屋とごはんと、そしてなんと告知のテキスト作成までも手伝ってくれてるのは、私達の友人であり、コピーライターであり、シェフでもあるRockakuくんです！

手伝ってくれた文章は、8~9月に開催される東京での２会場（原宿VACANT&吉祥寺キチムSTOMEギャラリー）の展示＆イベントの告知として、原宿のVACANTのブログにアップされました。→こちら　（この東京展示の事についても、また詳しく書きます！）

この民宿Rockakuから皇居までは３キロちょっとと近いので、そこまで走ってから皇居を一周するのが、最近の私たちのお気に入りランニングコースです。（お気に入りと言ってもまだ３日目ですが）
