KiraKira 2CDs from different country

Still deep in some big projects, we wanted to show off the packaging differences between the two versions of Kira Kira's Our Map to the Monster Olympic, plus the poster for her release party.
Also wanted to mention - we heard there was a big diorama-type of display of the cover at the Tower Records in Shibuya. Those things get changed around pretty regularly so it may already be gone, but certainly exciting news for us still.

今、２つ作っているうちの一つが制作の佳境に入ってます。6月からほんとに毎日毎日制作…前回の反省点を踏まえて変更したり、新しく試してみたいものを入れたりしながら進んでいます。

その中で、先日KiraKiraから小包が届いて、アイスランド盤のCDが家に届いたので紹介しますね。


Afterhours version on the left, Smekkleysa version on the right. The Japanese packaging is a bit brighter, shinier and smoother while the Icelandic version has a nice matte and the colors are bit more subdued. Both offer a slightly different perspective on the artwork.
左が日本盤、右がアイスランド盤です。
日本盤の方が光沢があり、はっきりとキャラクターが見られて美しいです。
アイスランド盤の方は細かな凹凸のある紙に印刷されていて、これまた霧に包まれた感じがよく出ていていい感じです。

This is inside the Smekkleysa version. The Afterhours version has the map sliding in the space between the front and inside cover.

And this is the release party poster. It's huge! We will frame it. Some day perhaps, we will print a full version this size and... well, we'd probably frame that too.
CDと共に、先日アイスランドでおこなわれたリリースパーティーのポスターも入ってました！思ってたよりずっと大きかったです。これは嬉しい贈り物☆

So! Kira Kira's album is released! It is up for sale here through the Japanese label, Afterhours, and now also here on the Smekkleysa label website.

We received our copy of the album the other day and it is a fantastic expansion of Kira Kira's already dark/mysterious/joyous sound. It overflows with creatures of every kind, creeping over the foggy landscape.

Overtureがアートワークを担当したKiraKiraの新譜 "Our Map To The Monster Olympics"リリース！
今現在確認できるのは、日本盤を扱うAfterhoursのサイトのみですが、アイスランドでも先月の26日に発売されています。近いうちにアイスランドのレーベルSmekkleysaのサイトでも取り扱いが始まる事と思います。

先日、アイスランド版より一足早く日本盤が手元に届きました。
このアルバムを通して聴くのは、私たちにとっても初めての経験。 múmのメンバーを始め、多くのミュージシャンの参加によって、彼女の不思議で暖かく、面白怖いような世界がより色濃く、強くなっている曲達でした。
届いたCDを写真で少し紹介します。

ちなみに、表ジャケットでモンスター達がもっているマップをイメージしています。
