KiraKira new album

05/01 The Icelandic musician, KiraKira's, second album will be released. Overture did the artwork, including a fold-out poster tucked inside each cd case.

5/1にリリースされるKiraKiraのニューアルバム "Our Map to the Monster Olympics"。
前回の"minimonster ep"に続いてこのCDのアートワークも、Overtureがやっています。
日本での発売は6月頃、Afterhoursレーベルよりリリースされる予定です。

画像はCDのカバー(表面)になります。
手前にいる３人（匹？）のモンスターが持っているモンスターオリンピックの地図、これがポスターになりCDの中に入る予定です。

Amargosa new album and release party!

As mentioned, yesterday (3/8) we went to Amargosa's self-titled debut album release party. Their performance was unfortunately cut short by complaints from the owner upstairs, but it was a good time nonetheless and we got our hands on a few copies of the cd (and a bonus tshirt each)! The photo above is of the band (l-r: Carson, Josh & Luke) and below are shots of our cd cover artwork.
昨日はOvertureがニューアルバムのカバーアートを作ったバンド、Amargosaのリリースパーティーでした。
人でいっぱいで、メンバーの3人も嬉しそうでした。 そして、会場で出来上がったCDをもらってきました。

Tonight (03/08/08)

A little late in the posting, but tonight we'll be at McNeill's Brewery in Brattelboro where the band Amargosa will be celebrating the release of their self-titled debut album...that Overture did the artwork for (pictured above...the cover, anyway).
Things start at 9:30, according to the band's website they will be playing as well. We will offer up more images of the cd and its artwork once we get a copy tonight.

今夜、以前個展をやった町バーモント州ブラットルボロのMcNeill's Breweryで、アルバムリリースパーティーを行うバンドAmargosaのアルバムカバーの絵をOvertureが描きました。
バンドのメンバーの一人Joshが、以前の個展会場 Through The Music Galleryのオーナーという縁です。

私達も、これから会場に向かってCDをもらってこようと思います☆
とりあえず元絵のみ、一足先にここにアップしておきます。
夏頃にはレコードも出す予定で、その時はこれにもう少しプラスしたものになると思います。

ロスのアートブランド、Poketoの新スタジオ兼ギャラリーで行われるグループ展"Poketo First Editions Print Show"に参加します。

Andrew Jeffrey Wrightや、Chris Pewなど、Poketoと付き合いの長いアーティストを中心に、いろんな国から25組のアーティストが参加。原画の展示と、会場でのプリント販売もあります。
Overtureは新作イラストレーションを一点出品します。 "Overture Japan tour 2008"で日本を旅してた途中に、描きながらスキャナーを探して放浪したなかなか思い出深い作品です。
